Born from Resilience and Rediscovery
1kind was born from life's toughest moments—heartbreaks, challenges, and the kind of transformation that forces you to rediscover yourself.
For so long, I felt like I didn’t belong. I chased perfection and hid my true feelings behind a smile, caught in a constant cycle of trying to prove my worth while neglecting self-compassion. I wore a mask, pretending everything was fine, even when it wasn’t.
But life had its own plans for me, guiding me through powerful lessons that, over time, helped me find my way back to who I truly am—bringing me closer to inner peace.
Lessons
At 17, I faced cancer, an experience that taught me to let go of control and trust the journey. Ten years later, a demanding career in sales left me burned out and questioning my identity beyond my job title. Depression became a turning point, urging me to listen to my own voice, not the expectations of others. Seeking healing, I left Estonia and moved to Puerto Escondido, a small surf town in Mexico, where my passion for surfing and my real journey of self-discovery began.
The Birth of 1kind
At the start of 2023, one night, I had a dream—a vision of a swimwear brand that could embody my journey and inspire others. That vision led me to create 1kind, a brand grounded in self-love, resilience, and compassion. With no previous experience in design or business, I took a leap of faith, bought fabric, and found a seamstress to help bring my designs to life. On June 17, 2023, 1kind was officially launched, starting as a small venture with friends and local markets.
Our mission at 1kind is simple yet powerful: to inspire women to reconnect with themselves, embrace their bodies, and find home within. We believe that self-love fosters kindness and connection, rippling outward to those around us.
